I am Amber Gibson-Mora. I am the founder, chief strategist and coach at Mora & Co. I felt compelled to create Mora & Co., as I’ve experienced not only the view of, but actions by, many internal human resources departments, and let’s be honest traditional human resources is challenged.

 

What’s missing?

Contemporary, forward-thinking people consulting that enables businesses to drive a positive internal narrative. What tends to exist in traditional corporate settings, is a feeling that human resources only looks out for company needs at the detriment of the employee. Surely, that is not always the case, but years of distrust and little to no urgency around fixing internal issues have left many employees skeptical of human resources.

 

How do I know?

I’ve spent nearly two decades in some of the most prestigious companies and government agencies in the world including: Nike, Visa, The Coca-Cola Company, Target Corporation, US Department of Defense, and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. But now, I am shifting the narrative by ensuring that we put the employee back in the center. No matter how large or small your company is, you can access all of the tools, resources, and processes that top companies utilize and, together, we can find the way to victory – whatever that means to you, your organization, your mission.

About the Founder

Amber advises clients across a range of “People” objectives, with a particular focus on the employee experience, talent and leadership development, and executive coaching. Through nearly two decades in the field, she has succeeded in partnering with strong and accomplished personalities and has established credibility and the ability to understand and articulate the implications of people decisions beyond what they mean for companies in the short-term. Amber has experience in multiple organizational areas such as the Supply Chain, Operations (union and non-union), Financial Services, Sales, Strategy, Customer Contact Center, Retail and Technology industries in addition to the Federal government sector.
